Description
ZylTimer is a complete replacement for the Delphi Timer and C++ Builder components. This high-resolution graphics and graphics component is a good choice for programmers who want to go beyond Delphi. What is included as a clock component in Delphi and C++Builder is a component called TTimer which comes with a number of restrictions. The default Delphi component uses the message queue mechanism in Windows to generate OnTimer events. This makes it impossible to record time frames smaller than 15 milliseconds.
ZylTimer is a proprietary architecture-based multithreaded timer that can record time between 1 and milliseconds. This is especially important for software that involves a lot of time. The standard TTimer uses the SetTimer function to record a time of up to 25 days. But the Zilter timer is capable of keeping time for a long time, up to several hundred years. It is worth noting that Windows is not natively an operating system at this time (except for Windows CE) so it makes no sense to have a mechanism to accurately record very small time zones. The Zilter timer component is fully operational in Delphi and Borland environment, and the current package includes demo programs and help files to familiarize you with the application’s capabilities, allowing you to quickly learn about the component’s features.
