Tekla structures is a building modeling software capable of modeling structures made of different types of materials. The building includes steel, concrete, wood and glass. Tekla structures is the most advanced structural BIM software, allowing you to create, combine, manage and share multimeter 3D models containing valuable building information. With Tekla Structures, you can create detailed, information-rich 3D models containing all the structural data needed to build and maintain any type of structure. You can also import, export and link your data with other software solutions, digital construction tools and manufacturing machines to streamline workflows. In this course, we do a steel structure modeling exercise on Tekla, which includes all steel structural elements (beams, columns, rails, purlins, frames, bracing, trusses, concrete slabs, foundations and assemblies). Additionally, in this course we will show how to export maps from Tekla structures software to other software. The project we will be working on is a steel hangar structure with a length of 75 meters and a width of 25 meters in this route. We will show the different standard sections of section I steel (HP, M, S, W). C-shaped; corner profiles; and pipe sections, we will show how to model, define and design different sections of steel construction using these sections. Dimensions and properties of structural sections commonly used in the design and construction of steel structures are given in this course in addition to all design considerations and the availability of appropriate materials and specifications according to the AISC code.
