Description
Introduction to AUTOSAR/OSEK RTOS II Course. Learn about the most common real-time operating system in the automotive software industry. The OSEK OS is the standard platform that runs on almost all electronic control units (ECUs) in modern vehicles and supports various application software components. This course is a complementary part of the previous course (Introduction to OSEK OS I) to give you an overview of what the OSEK real-time operating system is and how it works with the Keil Uvision ARM emulator and/or the TM4C123 evaluation kit. In this course, we start with a brief overview of the development cycle in the OSEK environment, describing the petroleum system, task management and resource management in the OSEK real-time core. Then, we learn alarm management, event handling and hook routines in OSEK OS.
You will understand anti/alarm concepts, alarm types, alarm actions, alarm oil descriptions and how we can use alarm objects to support periodic threads in OSEK core. APIs provided by OSEK core to handle alarms. Each point is backed up by a practical example to ensure a thorough programming exercise and understanding at the end.
First, the Event concept is introduced, followed by the usage and description of Event objects. Events affect task management and scheduling activities. Server events and topics. Set the event as an action alert. Event APIs provided by OSEK core. Each point is backed up by a practical example to ensure a thorough programming exercise and understanding at the end.
Hook concepts are introduced as OSEK object, operating system boot sequence and boot hook. Then, the before and after job hooks and how to use them to perform runtime measurements are introduced. This course includes many examples to ensure you have a thorough and practical understanding.
