Fix English to movies, let’s go back to our childhood and think about elementary school for a bit. I’m talking about when we were six and seven. When we hear the sound of the word many times, we will have enough information in our memory, and then our brain will send the correct command to our organs of speech to produce that sound. Make sense? Have you thought about it, sometimes we pronounce a word wrong, someone else tells us the correct spelling, maybe we pronounce that word correctly after hearing it once, but most of the time we are able to pronounce that word correctly 3 later. – We hear that word 5 times, and we do this only by hearing.
Sometimes we feel the need for a little time, after the word is fully pronounced, to clearly recognize that word. The reason this happens is that our brain tries to match the sound we heard with existing sound information. But we don’t put that audio data in our memory. We often expect the pronunciation of a word, as we saw that word on paper. In this course we will use some digital tools to enhance the listening experience and as a result of listening we will also improve our speaking skills.
