Udemy – Design and Optimization of Industrial Advanced Process Controls 2022-6 – Download

Description

Industrial advanced process control design and optimization published by Yudemy Academy. Use the powerful features of DCS and PLC.

DCS and PLC have many powerful features that are still untapped. This course shows you how to define PIDs and create powerful optimization controllers in a DCS or PLC. During the course we use several industrial process control software – Pitops, Simcet, Process Control CBT and ACSSI. This course assumes participants have completed PID100 (PID100 is a prerequisite for this APC200 course). Participants use real-world time series factory data and identify closed-loop/open-loop multivariate dynamics. They then build various control schemes in Pitops software: cascade, constraint override, maximization and minimization constraint controllers, selectors, model-based controllers, dead time compensators and many others.

This course is designed primarily for engineers, but provides considerable value to operators, technicians and supervisors. PiControl software products are very easy to use in this course so even new and inexperienced technicians can easily follow the course. This course also covers the advanced functions of PID controllers in more detail.

What you will learn in the Design and Optimization of Advanced Industrial Process Controls course:

  • Learn to design and build powerful controllers in DCS/PLC.
  • Learn PID tuning, lookahead execution, and parameter specification for a variety of DCS/PLC controllers.
  • Learn how to accurately calculate tuning and other DCS parameters, eliminating guesswork and producing precise, optimal control action.
  • Learn to be careful when activating and configuring new control schemes, avoid mistakes, and configure the chain of control in the correct order.
  • Distinguish when to use traditional advanced control and when to use multivariate predictive model control.
  • Learn how to study a process and its P&IDs and talk confidently to the right people on the factory floor or in the control room.

Who should attend :

  • Process Control Engineers, Advanced Process Control Engineers, and Instrumentation Engineers
  • Laboratory technicians and DCS/PLC technicians
  • Managers and supervisors
