Create a survival horror game in Unity. It’s for anyone who loves game design and wants to create amazing games. My name is Pete Jepson and I have been teaching game design for over 9 years. In this series we will be creating a first person survival game where you try to survive on an island overrun by zombies. You are looking for a vaccine before your infection level reaches 100 and you become one of the undead. In this updated 2022 version of the course, I’ll use intermediate level programming to give you proficient skills in game design. If you’re new to Unity, you’ll be pleased to know that the old version of this beginner’s course is still available in subsequent sections. This means you can complete the beginner level and then move on to the intermediate level. It’s like buying two courses for the price of one. You will need a powerful computer to complete this project, so make sure your computer meets the minimum requirements. By the end of this course, you will have a complete survival horror game that you can export as a finished product. You’ll develop the skills, confidence and understanding of how to create your own games in Unity.

Requirements
- It would be good to have a basic understanding of Unity. You don’t need any programming experience as I will cover C# programming in detail.
- The game is very detailed and in order to follow the project you will need a fast computer that meets the following minimum requirements.
- PC or Mac with at least a 2.5 GHz processor.
- Minimum 4 GB RAM
- At least 10 GB of free hard disk space.
- Video card with built-in RAM of at least 2 GB.
- My computer specs when creating this tutorial:
- Windows 10, i7 4GHz processor, 32GB RAM, Nvidia Geforce 1070 with 8GB RAM
- This allows me to get 60fps in the game, but even at 30fps the game runs fine.
