Preconditions
You do not need any prior knowledge of DBA before taking this course.
It would be helpful if you knew how to create simple T-SQL statements (SELECT, FROM, WHERE, GROUP BY) for some, but not essential, parts of the course.
You don’t need to have any form of SQL Server already installed on your computer; I will show you that you need to download and install it – for free.
You will need a Windows computer. We will install SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) on your computer.
Most DBA features are not available on Azure Data Studio and therefore you will not be able to perform DBA operations using a Mac.
