Simerics-MP software is a core feature set of 3D CFD and physics modules that enable accurate virtual testing for multi-purpose (MP) applications including single- or multi-phase flow, turbulence, cavitation/aeration, heat and mass transfer, particles and interaction. . Performs fluid and structure. Simerics-MP solves multiphase flow and heat transfer using a volume of fluid (VOF) approach with a high-resolution interface capture algorithm. Implicit and explicit methods are fast and robust with clear phase interfaces and excellent mass/volume conservation for each phase.
Using the finite volume RANS approach, Simerics-MP solves compressible and incompressible, calm and turbulent, internal and external, stable and unstable fluid flows. The solver covers all flow velocities, from creeping flow to supersonic flow. It also solves non-Newtonian fluids as well as fluids with varying properties such as real gases. Simerics-MP has a generic potato masher. It generates a body-fitted binary tree mesh directly and automatically from CAD surfaces. No need to clean up the CAD. The user can still get a valid mesh even with the default settings. The mesher also provides simple and intuitive ways to modify the mesh within a user-defined area. The mesh produced is of very high quality and very high efficiency.
