RealityCapture (or RC for short) is a photogrammetric software that creates 3D aesthetics and augmented reality from ground, aerial and laser images. Common applications of the program are art and architecture for cultural heritage, whole body scanning, mapping, visual effects and virtual reality. Important features of this program include: image adjustment, automatic calibration, polygon mesh calculation, coloring, texture generation, geoframes, DSM, geographic coordinate conversion, simplification, scaling, color filtering and visual effects, smooth image angle, measurement, image and input review. and the output pointed to different formats. This program is compatible with Windows 10 and we recommend you have at least 8GB of RAM for better performance. Also, for best performance, it’s best to use a multi-core processor and a graphics card with at least 1GB of RAM.
System requirements
RealityCapture runs on 64-bit machines with at least 8 GB of RAM, 64-bit Microsoft Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10 using a graphics card with an nVidia CUDA 2.0+ GPU and at least 1 GB of RAM. Users can run the application and register images without nVidia map but cannot create a textured mesh. Users must install the Windows Media Feature Pack, and on Windows Server, users must install the Media Foundation features.
Each RC software license is limited to 32 CPU cores and 3 GPU cards. Higher configurations require the equivalent purchase of more licenses. A computer with 4 CPU cores, 16 GB of RAM and 386 CUDA cores is recommended.
Meshing, painting, and texturing are completely out-of-core in RC, designed to avoid RAM performance loss during these processes.
