Description
PGI Visual Fortran, or PVF for short, is a collection of powerful 32-bit and 64-bit Fortran compilers for the familiar Visual Studio environment. With this tool, developers can easily write Fortran codes in the powerful Visual Studio environment and optimally generate the desired output with this product’s compilers. PGI Visual Fortran supports a wide range of platforms, including 32-bit and 64-bit multi-core systems, and allows developers to automatically run code written on multiple cores.
In addition to supporting multi-core processors and parallel programming, the product includes two HPC programming models, one of which is OpenACC, which is offered similarly to OpenMP for 64-bit multitasking systems. This model adds its own commands to the code in the form of preprocessor commands, due to which this code is seen as a comment in other Fortran compilers, and there are no problems compiling the code in other compilers, so coding with this model Reasons code portability is still preserved. The next model, which is being developed in collaboration with NVidia, is the use of CUDA Fortran technology, which uses C-side codes and the GPU processor to help the system accelerate the final code.
Features of PGI Visual Fortran:
- Syntax highlighting is a practical and highly effective way to simplify the coding process
- Automatic code completion based on entered keywords
- A powerful engine for debugging Fortran codes
- Automatic dependency analysis
- The possibility of constructive communication with Microsoft ++ C
- Making a large number of projects to familiarize yourself with different parts of the product
- Multi-threading support using intel kml 10.1 and above
- Ability to build, run, and debug MS-MPI applications
