Description
OPC Systems.NET is a set of powerful components for the .NET environment that can be used in the design and programming of industrial systems, SCADA and HMI. Scada, or Data Acquisition and Control System, is a control system used to control, process and control equipment on a large industrial scale. HMI also stands for Human Machine Interface, a software interface between humans and machines used to monitor and receive information from industrial equipment such as PLCs, albeit in a human-understandable format. By offering a variety of components, OPC Systems.NET has attempted to provide .NET programmers with all the features needed to program these systems.
Using this package, you can access data from OPC servers, OPC clients, Visual Studio programs, Excel and various databases in the form of a service-oriented architecture. The components of this collection are completely open source in C# and were successfully coded and require no additional libraries. Programs written with components in this collection can be run remotely on systems over long distances without requiring you to install the program on the target systems.
The advantage of these components is that they have a better graphical interface than web interfaces and are smoother to work with than web interfaces. Setting up and configuring this tool is also easy and can be configured within the program itself or by exporting and importing settings in CSV format. This product can easily contain alarms, logs, rich reports and security issues.
