Description
JSONSelect is an experimental language selector for JSON and facilitates access to data in JSON documents. JSONSelect defines a language that is very similar in syntax and structure to the CSS3 selector. Phrases in this program are patterns that can be matched in JSON documents. Possible applications include:
- Simplifying application deployment in JSON documents
- Filtering allows you to customize documents and increase their efficiency.
- As a query language for document databases.
The specifications of this program are three-tiered. Higher levels include both stronger structure and more complex implementation and use.
Features and capabilities:
- JSONSelect level 1 : A small subset of CSS3. Each function is a css structure directly derived from JSON. A Level 1 implementation provides query functionality that is not particularly sophisticated.
- JSONSelect level 2 : Creates a more complex CSS structure at level 1 that allows for value-matched expressions such as templates. Level 2 is still CSS customization.
- JSONSelect level 3 : add a structure that necessarily has a direct counterpart in CSS, added to increase the power and convenience of the selector language, and includes nicknames, class functions, etc.
