Blender VFX course: from beginner to professional! Hello and welcome to my course on visual effects in Blender. My name is Jacob, I am a visual effects artist from the USA. I currently work full-time as a visual effects specialist and Nuke compositor in the film and advertising industry, having worked with clients such as Nvidia and L’Oréal throughout my career. I have experience working in a variety of mediums, from music videos to feature films, and have built an online community of artists around the world exploring visual effects using Blender.

In this course, I wanted to focus on using Blender as a tool for creating 3D visual effects so that we can create immersive worlds and bring them to the big screen. We’ll start by learning all the tools and basics of Blender, then dive into the exciting world of camera tracking, where you can track any footage you want. Next, we’ll look at composition in Blender and some of the amazing tools that will make your renders stand out, and then finally we’ll create a huge 3D scene from scratch and walk you through the entire process of creating professional-looking visual effects inside Blender. We’ll look at 5 individual visual effects shots and a ton more examples that demonstrate the many different scenarios you might encounter. Of course, all materials and videos that I use will be provided to you for your future use.
