System requirements
DesignBuilder is a professional graphics application and requires reasonably high computer hardware to use it successfully. This page provides information on recommended specifications. The main areas you should pay attention to when purchasing or upgrading your computer system to run DesignBuilder are:
- Adapter graphics – An OpenGL compatible graphics adapter is 100% required to run Designbuilder. Mid-range and better NVIDIA cards are the most reliable. Some motherboard integrated graphics adapters we tested cannot run DesignBuilder.
- Memory – Designbuilder uses all the memory you have available – at least 4GB is recommended and 8-16GB for serious modeling and simulations.
- CPU speed – get as fast as you can. An i7 or Xeon is ideal.
- cores – having multiple processors does not necessarily allow, but it allows you to speed up Designbuilder simulations by continuing to use the computer while the simulations are running. Quad-core (or more) processors also make the software more responsive to use. If you’re going to optimize and prefer to avoid online services, a server with 16-32 (or more) cores will allow you to run multiple simulations in parallel and optimize much faster than a typical quad-core desktop or laptop. .

- An i5, i7 or Xeon processor with 4 or more cores.
- 8-16 GB (or more) of RAM.
- At least 200 GB of free disk space. SSD speeds up software and is more robust, especially for laptops.
- A pointing device such as a mouse or laptop touchpad. Most users prefer to use a mouse rather than a touchpad.
- 100% NVIDIA graphics adapter with hardware acceleration running in 32-bit color mode.
- 17 inches or larger, 1280 x 1024 pixels or larger display for efficiency in the modeling process and for displaying high-quality visualization images and overviews of DesignBuilder models and CFD results. Large screens (eg 27”) are ideal for use with DesignBuilder.

Version 6.1.0.6: if it crashes while running the software, delete the software completely (preferably with a tool like Revo uninstaller), then install the software and open and close it once, then apply the crack.
Version 7.0.1.004 Tested successfully on Windows 11.
