Descriptions
Fundamental bioinformatics skills. The course provides a broad and largely practical overview of the fundamental skills of bioinformatics (and data analysis in general). The goal is to support the simultaneous development of quantitative and programming skills for biology and biomedical students with little or no programming or quantitative experience. During the course, the student will develop the necessary practical skills to conduct basic data analysis. Most importantly, participants will gain long-term programming (and data analysis) skills, as well as guidance on how to improve their knowledge in this area. The course will include R programming, Python programming, Unix server programming, and a review of basic statistics concepts.
