Coursera – Embedded Software and Hardware Architecture 2023-1 – Download

Embedded Software and Hardware Architecture is the first dive into understanding embedded architecture and writing software to manage these devices. You’ll gain experience writing low-level firmware to integrate directly with devices with highly efficient, readable and portable design practices. We will now move from the Linux Host Machine where we built and ran code in the same environment to the Integrated Development Environment where you will build and install code directly on the ARM Cortex. – Your M4 Microcontroller.

Coursework includes writing firmware to interact with and configure both the ARM architecture and the MSP432 microcontroller platform. The course concludes with a project where you will develop a circular database architecture. For this course you will need a Texas Instruments LaunchPad with an MSP432 microcontroller to complete the activity. Later specialization courses will continue to use this tool to develop even more interesting firmware.
