Apple Silicon

All versions starting with Capture One 21 (14.2.0) offer native support for Apple Silicon Macs. In addition, hardware acceleration on Apple Silicon (M1/M2) machines is achieved using Metal – this is now also the case on Intel-based Macs if you are using Capture One 22 (15.3.0) or newer.

Previous versions of Capture One that were not designed for silicon-based Macs will continue to run on Mac computers that use the Rosetta 2 emulation platform. This will run by default and you will not need to change any settings for Capture One to run.

The only known limitation when using Rosetta is when tethering with Canon cameras. Download and install the latest firmware https://www.canon-europe.com/support/ to try to resolve this issue.

For users on macOS 13 , On Apple Silicon Macs running macOS Ventura, a USB tethering connection sometimes fails. If this happens, unplug and replug the cable until the connection is successful.
