Description
AutoUpgrader is a component for making software updates. Delphi programmers can use this component to create their own software packages without writing a single line of code, which includes ready-made wizards that can be activated for various purposes, as well as multiple languages for the application interface. It uses updates and the interesting feature is that when the end user runs the updated software, the application will recognize the user’s current operating system language and display the application’s interface in the same language. This component currently translates all wizards into 13 different languages including English, Spanish, German, French, Russian, Portuguese, Italian, Chinese, and more.
Of course, if you’re not interested in using this program’s wizard, you can easily design a custom wizard with the text and images you want for the entire process. If you put a new version of your program in an encrypted web directory, you can do this by configuring a username and password to access the files, or allow this component to be displayed to the user when needed. And users can access the app by entering the appropriate username and password.
With AutoUpgrader the end users of your app will always use the latest version of your products. This package contains two components, one is the acHTTP Web/HTTP protocol (which supports IE uploads and cache) and the other is acThread which is a thread-based component for use in ActiveFirms. With this component, Delphi programmers no longer need to update programs seamlessly and can focus on the logic of their programs without outsourcing components such as AutoUpgrader.
