PhotoVCarve software has been developed to allow CNC machines to engrave things that are only possible with expensive laser systems. PhotoVCarve converts your images directly into high-quality job paths that can be used on all CNC and engraving machines. Converting images to files that can be used on CNC machines has always been a challenge in the industry, and while there are many software products that seem to do it right, most of them don’t work as they should. PhotoVCarve is also suitable for processing 3D lithophones and converting them directly into images. These designs are perfect for gifts, keepsakes and memoirs. PhotoVCarve offers you many options that most CNC machines can use.
This program allows you to process images with CNC machines in three different ways. The first is V-Groove Machining, which conveys different image details using slots of different widths and depths. The ultimate quality of this method depends largely on the surface of the material to be engraved and the grooves created. Darker areas indicate groove densification and lighter areas indicate thinner grooves and less density. The next method is the use of three-dimensional lithophanes. Lithophones are 3D images that are a bit dull and lifeless when viewed in low light, but 3D rendering shows the details of the image and transforms them into something completely different. The next method is a black and white 3D machine that converts black and white images directly into 3D height and depth maps.
