Description
FEI Avizo is a powerful software for modeling, redesigning and creating 3D images from raw scientific data. 3D rendering, which means displaying raw input data as 3D models and images. By using 3D models, experts can more easily collect and analyze data in their field of study. Analysis means extracting meaningful data as well as statistical data from the modelled images, for example the shape of a given region, the area of various surfaces, the length between two specified points, and so on. As a practical example, by using the program’s ability to analyze cancer and tumor science, the shape and size of tumors can be accurately identified.
It is a general-purpose software that can be used in a variety of disciplines. This program has many applications in various fields like geography, polymers, chemistry, biological sciences, medicine and others. An important advantage of this program is its graphical environment. Starting from the initial data acquisition phase to the 3D modeling phase as well as the statistical analysis and retrieval process, all tasks are performed in a very intuitive and transparent manner and there will be no need for any coding or scripting involvement on the part of the user.
