Installation requirements
Installation requirements include:
A CD drive or Internet access is required to install the product. Minimum system configuration for installation:

• Operating system:

– Windows 7 SP1
– Windows 8, 8.1
– Windows Vista SP2
Note. WaterCAD can also run on Windows operating systems other than those listed above. However, the program was not tested on them.

• Software prerequisites:

– Microsoft .NET Framework version 3.5 (the installer will attempt to download and install this prerequisite if it is not present during installation) Note. The 64-bit version of this Bentley software requires a 64-bit Access Database Engine (not included with Bentley software) to support newer MSOffice file formats that can be used in ModelBuilder and SCADAConnect. If you do not have a compatible version of the Access Database Engine installed and want to connect to these data sources, download and install the 64-bit Access Database Engine from Microsoft using the following link: http://www.Microsoft.com/enus/download/details.aspx? id = 13255 or alternatively use the 32-bit version of the software that can be accessed

Note. WaterCAD may run on earlier or newer versions than those listed above.
• ProjectWise Support:
– WaterCAD V8i is compatible with ProjectWise V8 XM Edition or later and is fully certified with ProjectWise version 08.11.11.111, but should work with other versions of ProjectWise.
• SELECT server:
– WaterCAD V8i SELECTseries 5 requires SELECTserver XM Edition or later with SELECTserver 2004 Edition. Minimal profile
The minimum recommended workstation profile to run WaterCAD V8 (eg for simple systems) is:
• Processor: according to the minimum requirements of the operating system.
• RAM: According to the minimum requirements of the operating system.
• Hard disk: The software itself requires at least 1 gigabyte (GB) of disk space, plus additional space for user models and data files.
• Display: according to the minimum requirements of the operating system.
If you are running WaterCAD V8 on AutoCAD or ArcGIS platforms, the minimum requirements are superseded by the minimum requirements listed for those platforms.
