SmartPlant Electrical helps you improve quality, reliability and efficiency in electrical design, construction, operation and maintenance. SmartPlant Electrical enables users to create safe and reliable power distribution from load detection to plant startup. The latest version of SmartPlant Electrical includes new features to create intelligent composite graphical data reports for more demanding project requirements. Users can now create graphical presentations with great detail. Users can also enter AutoCAD or microstation diagrams or any design.
Features and functions of SmartPlant Electrical software:
- Ability to intelligently create composite graphic designs of any content using drafting instructions, add catalogs for explorers, and place device items in the design
- Ability to import exterior CAD designs and add smart layers to them
- Ability to define one version of an item in a registration report
- Create multiple electrical devices in a category
- Replacing the cable with a single-core cable
- Ability to define attributes that are coordinated between the reference cable and the corresponding project cable.

- Restore electrical equipment for the Intergraph Smart 3D load list
- Extract information at any time in two types of reports: graphical and tabular. Graphical reports include schematic diagrams and one-line diagrams. The tabular report uses the standard Microsoft Excel mechanism and links to the project database. Everything is created automatically and directly from the data.

Note2 (Configuration): To run SmartPlant Electrical, you must connect to a site and plant that was created using SmartPlant Engineering Manager. A prerequisite for using SmartPlant Electrical is a plant created in SmartPlant Engineering Manager with SmartPlant Electrical.
To configure the software, see “SPELInstall_Checklist.pdf” and “SPELInstallGuide.pdf” in the “install\SmartPlant Electrical 2015\Help” folder.
