explanation
Part A – Networking Project – Implementing a TCP/IP Stack in C is a networking and infrastructure course centered around the C and C++ programming languages that teaches you how to build and implement a TCP/IP protocol stack in a completely dedicated way. The TCP/IP protocol is a hybrid multilayer protocol, each with specific functions, such as data link layer, network layer, and application layer. This course is completely project-oriented and you will develop a real project course with your instructor during the course. For your convenience, the final project in this course is presented in the form of six separate mini-projects, each focused on a specific topic. Network programming is one of the most popular careers and this course will prepare you for your first job at a good company.
This course is by no means recommended for beginners or those unfamiliar with it, and all students should be familiar with the basic concepts of networking and memory management in programming. Basic knowledge of C is not required, but experience using one of the similar, mainstream programming languages can be very helpful. This course is the first part of a larger two-part series that explains how to implement and prepare network infrastructure topologies and related topics. The ultimate goal of this course is to simulate a configurable and programmable network that can be used to implement the complex problems of Part II. Among the most important topics of this course are the design of new applications and protocols based on the data link layer and network layer, TCP/IP stack, and network architecture.
