Design of pipeline systems: pipeline fittings, flanges, valves. The performance of a process plant depends on the piping system as much as on the rest of the plant equipment. As a result, it is critical that your piping system design is optimized, properly maintained and, if necessary, repaired efficiently and in a timely manner. This course is designed to give you a thorough understanding of the design, manufacture and construction of piping systems and their major components such as fittings, flanges, valves and pipe supports, and the codes and standards that apply to them. The course includes extensive graphics, sectional views, dimension tables, and 3D animation. This will give you a virtual, hands-on understanding of piping systems and their accessories. The course also includes numerous practical exercises and most importantly introduces a step-by-step method for piping design. We’ll show you how to design a piping system from scratch. This valuable and proven piping design method is actually used at our petrochemical complex to design a new piping system or modify an existing one. This design method is presented at the end of the course. For this reason, we highly recommend starting the course from the beginning and going through each section in the order we have set, so that you are in a better position to study the Design section.
