CREATING A CUSTOM 3D KIT FOR CONCEPT ART Course Learn the process of creating a 3D kit from start to finish. Discover all the insights and techniques to help you get the most out of 3D kit creation and get inspired to produce epic visuals – from generating initial ideas, gathering references and doing prep work to completing concept art in Photoshop. Everything is covered to help you create your own 3D kit assets, including modeling and texturing assets, from single assets to more complex parts, assembling new assets and building a scene. Then you’ll learn how to use the generated assets to create the final images. The tutorial workflow provides a comprehensive approach to asset creation and scene development, starting with hand painting, stamping plants and using Blender texture nodes to generate individual assets. These assets are then transformed into a versatile kit that uses Blender techniques, including mirroring and shapers, to progress from simpler to more complex components. With an extensive asset library created, the focus shifts to conceptualizing building assets, using simple Photoshop painting techniques to refine the final concept. The next step is to create a complete scene using the assembled kit. Other techniques include simple modeling and sculpting in ZBrush, as well as using VR with Gravity Sketch and moving on to scene assembly in Blender using the development kit. The process ends with a refined approach to lighting, rendering and finalizing the image in Photoshop. This 6-hour workshop is recommended for artists with basic knowledge of concept art, 3D and advanced Photoshop skills. The structured methodology ensures a consistent and professional result throughout the asset creation and scene development process.
