Practical protection of electrical power systems using Etap software. My name is Abdelrahman. I am an electrical power system protection engineer. I will present to you a course on electrical power system protection called “Practical protection of electrical power systems using etap”. In this course, I will show you how to successfully perform protection and coordination studies in systems with voltage less than 1 kV and systems with voltage above 1 kV using Etap software. Of course, let’s start by introducing the contents of the course. First, I will talk about how to draw a single line diagram using etap typically, such as the single line diagram that comes from the consultant. Second, I will talk about how to enter technical data for all AC elements in your single line diagram. Third, I will talk about the star protection and coordination module in etap and how you can use this module to perform protection and coordination studies. In this part, I will discuss in detail the EDIT STUDY CASE TOOLBAR, STAR VIEW TOOLBAR, STAR PD TOOLBAR and TCC TOOLBARE. After that, I will talk about cable protection. In this part, I will talk about cable protection, customization of protection functions included in miniature circuit breaker and customization of protection functions included in molded case circuit breaker.
