Financial Reporting Specialization: The Financial Reporting Specialization focuses on the role of financial accounting principles and processes in the preparation and reporting of an organization’s financial statements. Graduates of this specialization are able to (1) use financial accounting principles to prepare and/or process an organization’s financial reports and (2) analyze financial reports to assess an organization’s financial condition. The Financial Reporting Specialization includes several projects and practice activities, including analyses of assertions and cases that are subject to peer review. In addition, the specialization includes a capstone course that includes a full case analysis of an actual company’s financial reports.
