Explanation
Finite Element Analysis in Python – Basic-2D is a complete tutorial to learn 4-node quadrilateral (Q4), 3-node triangle (T3) and 8-node quadrilateral (Q8). This Basic course is the first part (FEM basic level) of my two level 2D FEA courses. After completing this course, you may join the 2D FEA course (Part II – intermediate level) where you will learn other interesting things such as: stress and strain calculations, FEA degrees of freedom, mesh refinement, poly/composite. Material structure, etc. By completing these two courses, you will have a solid knowledge of FEA, especially two-dimensional structures.
What you will learn in this course:
- Basic knowledge of FEA especially for 2D structures
- Knowledge of 4-node quadrilateral (Q4), 3-node triangular (T3) and 8-node quadrilateral (Q8)
- Generate FEA Python codes for 4-node Q4, 3-node T3, 8-node Q6 elements in 2D structures.
- The knowledge and skills gained can be directly used in practical work and future education
Who is this course for:
- Engineers and developers interested in FEA and structural analysis
- Engineering students who wish to prepare for a Master’s or Ph.D.
