Vector Calculus for Engineers, This course covers both the theoretical foundations and practical applications of Vector Calculus. During the first week, students will study scalar fields and vectors. In the second week, they will sort the fields. The third week focuses on multidimensional integration and curvilinear coordinate systems. Line and surface equations are covered in week four, while week five explores the basic concepts of vector calculus, including gradient theorem, the difference theorem, and Stokes’ theorem. These theories are essential to engineering subjects such as electromagnetism and fluid mechanics.
Note that this course may also be called Multivariable or Multivariate Calculus or Calculus 3 at some universities. The prerequisites for this course are two semesters of differential calculus (variables and integrals). The course includes 53 short video lectures, each followed by several problems to solve. After each major topic, there is a short practice quiz. At the end of the week, there is a graded quiz. Solutions to problems and practice questions can be found in the lesson notes provided by the instructor.
