Unreal Engine Bootcamp – Part 1, This 200-level course was created to teach visual effects artists how to use Engine 5 components to create visual worlds for projects. The key concepts behind how Unreal Engine fits into the VFX pipeline and DCC application assets that can be imported into Unreal Engine will be covered in detail. Classes will cover creating DEM visuals, foliage and creating trees and systems, solid surface and surface models, material editing in UE5, character writing and importing using MetaHuman Creator, sky environments and lighting systems. of Lumin, water and oceans in UE5, megascans assets for close-up details and Nanite’s geometry system, fx post mode and camera settings.
Liam is a Senior VFX Artist based in Australia, who has been in the 3D industry since 2003. He has worked on a variety of projects over the past 18 years including the most recent photo-realistic canyon environments. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Disney Plus, and the hollow environment of the earth Godzilla vs. Kongalso VFX works on other upcoming feature films and series.
