Explanation
Svelte is a JavaScript framework that allows you to build state-driven components. However, what sets Svelte apart from other frameworks like Angular, React and Vue; Svelte is a collector. Svelte works at build time. Which means that your Svelte code will be compiled at the time of building a very efficient code that runs in the browser to perform DOM functions. Other popular frameworks often use a technique called ‘virtual DOM’ to decide how to update the DOM. This technique works in the browser during runtime. And that adds more overhead to the DOM calculation. In this course we will learn everything about Svelte from scratch. We’ll start with the basics by creating simple components. Then slowly progress and create more complex pieces.
While Svelte is a great tool for building web components, it is not an easy task to build an entire application in Svelte. That’s why we have SvelteKit. SvelteKit is a framework for rapid development of complex, high-performance web applications. SvelteKit provides out-of-the-box features like routing, server-side rendering, preloading and more. It provides us with a framework that we can follow to build high-performance server-side applications that are developed and progressively enhanced. In this course we will learn everything about SvelteKit. We’ll discuss pages and layouts, data loading, hooks, error handling, environment variables, preloading, enhanced style actions and more.
