Genetic Algorithms: A to Z with Integrated Problems is a comprehensive training course to implement genetic algorithms to solve real-world problems using MATLAB. In this course, we will first examine the basics of genetic algorithm, then we will implement the simplest form of genetic algorithm (binary GA) in MATLAB, and then we will implement real GA. In the next section, well-known operations research problems such as transportation problems, hub location problems (HLP), quadratic placement problems, and traveling salesman problems (TSP) are examined and we try to solve them using a genetic algorithm. Also, to find the best value of the genetic algorithm parameters, we examine two methods, the Taguchi method and the response surface method (RSM).
