Explanation
Next JS & WordPress: Build NextJS Developers with Next & WP Do you want to improve your React JS skills and increase your value as a front-end developer? Improve your React skills by learning Next.js with a headless WordPress backend! The site we will build in JS next uses React JS and GraphQL to create and build static pages for the given data. This course will look at setting up WordPress as a headless CMS using NextJS to create a fast server-responsive website from WordPress data, such as custom post types, pages, menus, media. , advanced custom settings, (and more! ) using GraphQL to query that data. That’s right, we can actually query WordPress data using GraphQL! In this course we will create a real estate agent website, looking at the initial setup and subsequent JS development and WordPress internals, mapping Gutenberg blocks to react components, creating our own custom Gutenberg blocks, customizing these components with Tailwind CSS and querying WordPress and Gutenberg data with GraphQL to automatically generate our static pages.
We will look at how we can query WordPress data with GraphQL using the GraphiQL browser tool. We’ll get our hands on some WordPress code as well, but not too much – the main focus here is Next JS. Once we know and are comfortable with NextJS and WordPress development, we will move on to setting up and deploying a live website using Vercel that rebuilds our website every time we update the content in the WordPress backend, using webhooks. It is recommended that you have a basic knowledge of React. We’ll cover everything from Next.js, WordPress, GraphQL, and Tailwind CSS!
